DoorDash is also offering shoppers $20 off delivery on orders costing $60 or more at The Fresh Market until Dec. 31, the announcement noted.
In mid-September, DoorDash unveiled eight new grocery partners, bringing its delivery services to over 400 regional and specialty stores, including Eataly, Pruett’s Food and Strack & Van Til. Earlier this year, the company also added German discounter Aldi to its online marketplace.
The e-commerce company also launched its newly re-designed app in June, which includes a new navigation tab labeled “grocery” as well as the ability for shoppers to use SNAP/EBT for online grocery payments.
Other e-commerce companies are also making strides within the grocery sector. In June, DoorDash rival Uber announced new partnerships with The Save Mart Company as well as The Fresh Market. More recently, Uber also underwent an app update that enables users to browse a virtual “sales aisle” that shows promotions and deals.
