Dive Insight:
The H-E-B Alliance store marks the grocer’s fifth storefront in the Dallas-Fort Worth area under its main banner after opening stores in Frisco and Plano in late 2022, followed by sites in McKinney and Allen in 2023.
H-E-B broke ground on its Alliance store, located at 3451 Heritage Trace Parkway, in November 2022, shortly after opening its Frisco and Plano, Texas locations. It will include a True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru, a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru and a Texas Backyard department featuring outdoor essentials. The grocer’s “Made Fresh In Store” offerings at the location will include sushi, dips and juices.
The new store will also offer curbside pickup and home delivery as well as connect to the H-E-B app.
H-E-B’s Mansfield store, which will be the sixth location to open in the Dallas-Fort Worth region, is slated to open this spring after the grocer broke ground on the site in February 2023. The Texas grocer also broke ground on a store in Melissa, a city north of Dallas, in January with plans to open that store sometime next year.
H-E-B also announced this week “major renovation” plans for its Central Market store in San Antonio. The location will undergo a full interior remodel that includes repositioning select departments, adding more energy-efficient fixtures and equipment, expanding cafe seating and improving the employee break room and administrative spaces.
