Favor Delivery, the H-E-B-owned delivery app offering groceries, restaurant meals, alcohol and household items in Texas, has added a new option called H-E-B Now that lets customers get up to 15 grocery items in 45 minutes or less, according to a Friday announcement.
With H-E-B Now, customers can shop a variety of categories, including produce, ready-made meals, household essentials, deli, frozen, pet care, baby and sauces.
Favor, which H-E-B acquired in 2018 and is only available in Texas, also recently added an “H-E-B” tab in the app, the announcement noted.
"This new service strengthens our commitment to delivering Texas hospitality throughout our home state by offering Texans a quick and convenient way to tackle their last-minute grocery needs from their favorite grocery retailer – H-E-B," Chris Rogge, Favor's senior director of brand and creative, said in the announcement.
Through the end of the year, H-E-B Now will waive delivery or service fees on orders over $25. Favor is promoting the new convenience delivery option with its “All in Favor” campaign, which highlights the range of grocery and restaurant options that consumers can order through the app.
Founded in 2013, Favor currently operates in more than 400 cities across Texas.
Favor’s H-E-B Now option comes on the heels of several major grocers such as Aldi, Ahold Delhaize and Albertsons adding convenience delivery options with their e-commerce providers.
H-E-B also offers pickup and delivery on its My H-E-B app.
