Name: Jeremy Gosch
New Title: CEO of Retail Operations, Hy-Vee
Previous Title: President and Chief Operating Officer, Hy-Vee
As new CEO of retail operations for Hy-Vee, Gosch will oversee the grocer’s online retail platforms, supplier relationships and brick-and-mortar expansion in its current eight-state region and the Southeast.
Gosch will assume his new position on Oct. 1 and serve alongside Aaron Wiese, who will become CEO and president of Hy-Vee’s subsidiaries and supply chain, according to the press release. Gosch and Wiese will also each become vice chairman of Hy-Vee’s board of directors and report to Hy-Vee Chairman Randy Edeker.
Gosch joined Hy-Vee since 1995, where he started as a part-time clerk at a store in Coralville, Iowa. Over a 12-year span, he held multiple retail operations management roles, including store director at multiple locations. In 2012, Gosch was promoted to assistant vice president of operations for the northeast region. Between 2012 and 2018, Gosch held multiple executive leadership roles before his promotion to executive vice president, co-chief operating officer and chief marketing officer. Later in 2018, took over as chief operating officer.
Gosch became Hy-Vee’s president of retail operations and co-chief operating officer in April 2021. He was promoted to president and chief operating officer in December.
The announcement about Gosch’s promotion follows Hy-Vee’s disclosure in April that it was looking to cut 500 corporate jobs and relocate employers to store-level positions due to inflation, supply chain pressures and rising fuel costs.
