Instacart has appointed Lisa Blackwood-Kapral as its next chief accounting officer and principal accounting officer, according to a regulatory filing.
Blackwood-Kapral brings decades of accounting experience to Instacart. She most recently worked at Lyft, where she served as chief accounting officer and as interim CFO. Prior to Lyft, she was Shutterfly’s chief accounting officer.
Blackwood-Kapral will take over these financial roles from Alan Ramsay, who is leaving the company on March 10. Ramsay departs after more than five years with Instacart, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Instacart said in the regulatory filing that Ramsay’s resignation “is not due to any disagreement with the Company or any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies, or practices.” He will continue to support Instacart and assist with the transition of his duties through March 14, the filing noted.
Blackwood-Kapral joins a C-suite that includes another former rideshare executive. Last fall, Instacart named Anirban Kundu, a former Uber executive, as its chief technology officer.
