Dive Insight:
Kroger’s partnership with Intelligence Node comes at a time when grocers are seeking digital tools to boost their competitive pricing and e-commerce capabilities as well as gain more knowledge about market trends.
By making its product listings clearer and more informative, Kroger is looking to elevate the customer experience and also gain more insights into product performance, according to the announcement.
“From product copy and ratings to reviews and taxonomy, customers are searching out more information than ever before and providing what they need, when they need it is important,” Michael Murphy, group vice president of analytics and execution at Kroger, said in the announcement.
Intelligence Node adds more digital tools to the third-party online marketplace that the grocery company launched with e-commerce provider Mirakl in 2020.
Intelligence Node will provide content audit, optimization and execution within the Mirakl platform, Sularia said.
The retail analytics firm also said that its technology solutions help improve shoppers’ product selections and purchase decisions and provide third-party sellers a content management solution that can help rankings on search engine results pages.
