Dive Insight:
The collaboration between Home Chef and Delish marks the first time a meal kit company has partnered with a food media platform to bring “recipes to life” nationwide, according to the announcement.
For the limited time that Delish’s recipes are available through Home Chef, customers will have access to a dozen recipes, including a caramelized garlic-sesame beef bowl, mushroom piccata pasta, coconut curry salmon, Italian sausage lasagna soup and spicy chicken taquitos.
Delivery for the meals is available in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. Ordering for the kits opened Monday and closes on March 3, per the announcement.
In a separate effort to bring popular recipes to consumers, Home Chef in October 2022 linked up with celebrity chef Rachael Ray on a new line of meal kits that were available at more than 1,300 Kroger stores and online.
Over the past year, consumers have continued to choose grocery meal offerings to replace restaurant meals — and meal kits are adding to that shift. Home Chef’s meal solutions, for example, can be found at more than 2,400 Kroger banner stores.
