Schnuck Markets introduced more features to further personalize its rewards program for shoppers, the grocer announced Wednesday.
Shoppers can now go to “Personalized Savings” in the app and find custom digital coupons, sales and points offers on items they’ve recently purchased, according to the emailed announcement. Schuncks refreshes the deals weekly to keep the offers relevant to shoppers’ favorite items.
The grocer celebrates customers’ birthdays by gifting them a free donut. During their birthday week, a coupon will appear in the app that shoppers can clip to redeem their birthday treat.
But birthdays aren't the only thing Schnucks is celebrating with free donuts. During the regular Major League Baseball season, if a St. Louis Cardinals player hits a home run, Schnucks Rewards members are eligible to get a free donut at their local Schnucks Bakery the following day using an in-app coupon.
The grocer is also introducing Double Points Day to let rewards members use coupons to earn twice as many points on their entire cart. Shoppers can check the app for the Personal Double Points Day coupons throughout the year.
Schnucks has been finding new ways to help shoppers save through its loyalty program; in April, the grocer introduced an initiative that rewarded shoppers $5 in loyalty points per week throughout the month when they logged at least 50,000 steps in a seven-day period.
Last August, Schnucks added the ability for customers to redeem Schnucks Rewards points when using self-checkout.
