SpartanNash Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) Arif Dar will be leaving the company effective Sept. 30, the grocery distributor and supermarket operator disclosed Friday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Dar is working SpartanNash “to ensure an orderly transition,” according to the filing. The company, which has made a number of executive changes this year, has yet to announce who will be taking over as CIO after Dar’s departure.
Dar, who joined SpartanNash in January 2019, was responsible for leading the company’s information technology team and overseeing the development of the company’s IT strategy. He was also charged with overseeing enterprise architecture and application management; risk management; and operations support and infrastructure management.
SpartanNash’s disclosure that Dar will be leaving follows the company’s announcement in late June that it had promoted Jean-Paul “JP” Calabio to vice president and chief information security officer. Earlier in 2022, SpartanNash hired Yu Ying Seah as vice president of IT global applications.
