The Giant Company announced on Wednesday half of a dozen promotions among its top ranks that it said will “strengthen its leadership team and advance the company’s omnichannel strategy.”
The changes for the Ahold Delhaize banner include new vice presidents of marketing, finance and omnichannel.
Manuel Haro has been tapped to become vice president of finance and strategy, overseeing the company’s finance, real estate and strategy. Haro, who has been with the company since 2012 and has nearly 20 years of retail and consumer packaged goods experience, most recently served as divisional vice president of the greater Philadelphia area. Haro will report directly to Nicholas Bertram, the company’s president.
The grocer named Joanna Crishock as its vice president of marketing and commercial planning and will lead “all elements of the brand experience” including brand strategy, circular, social media and its e-commerce strategy, per the announcement. Crishock, who was most recently director of strategy and chief of staff to Bertram, has been with The Giant Company since 2010.
Crishock will report to newly promoted John Ruane who is now senior vice president of commercial and has expanded responsibilities with marketing and commercial planning.
The Giant Company also detailed several other promotions:
- Daren Russ has been promoted from director of e-commerce operations to vice president of omnichannel operations. Russ will head up customer support; e-commerce operations, including fulfillment and last-mile; pharmacy operations; and store support.
- Tim Santoro has been named divisional vice president of Greater Philadelphia, filling Haro’s role, and will oversee the daily retail operations and store teams for more than 90 stores. Most recently, Santoro was regional director for 19 stores in Lancaster and York counties in Pennsylvania.
- April Mock, director of communications and corporate social responsibility, now has the role of chief of staff added to her title.
Among the promotions, Santoro has had the longest tenure with the company, at 25 years.
