Monday was the first day for Major League Baseball's 2013 season, and as fans flocked to ballparks, concession stands launched new and unusual food products for those who wanted a bite to eat. Here are 10 of the most interesting new foods on offer at baseball stadiums across the country:
1. THE BELTRE BUSTER
Where: Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas
The $26 Beltre Buster hamburger is named after Texas Rangers' third baseman Adrian Beltre. This absolute beast of a burger contains one pound of Nolan Ryan beef, half of a pound of bacon, grilled onions and Monterey Jack cheese served on a pretzel bun. Here's a list of all the new food offerings at Rangers Ballpark.
2. BRUNCH BURGER
Where: PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Brunch Burger, otherwise known as the "Luther Burger" after singer Luther Vandross, is an instant heart attack masquerading as a bacon cheeseburger and fried egg held together by a glazed doughnut. It's available for $7.50. If you're interested, check out a more complete list of the new food offerings at Pittsburgh Pirates games.
