Alliance Retail Group Welcomes New Board Members Courtney Brown and Jenn Weisgram as Long-Serving Members Retire 

[Hendersonville, TN] – [Date] – Alliance Retail Group (ARG), a leader in the independent-grocery space, is pleased to announce the appointment of Courtney Brown and Jenn Weisgram to its Board of Directors. These appointments come as two founding board members, Ward Ragland, and Joey Hays, retire after 20+ years of dedicated service.  The Alliance Companies thank Ward and Joey for their invaluable knowledge and guidance over the years.  Our independent retailers have benefited greatly from our original retailers coming together to build the company.

Courtney Brown joins the board as a third generation Grocer, President, and CEO of Doc’s Food Stores, an 11-store independent grocery chain located in Oklahoma.  He currently serves on the Board of Oklahoma Grocers Association and on the Board of Directors for his alma mater, Southwestern College.  Doc’s Food Stores started by Courtney’s grandfather in 1946, is comprised of two companies, and employes 470 people throughout the state of Oklahoma.  Courtney’s expertise in retail management and strategic development will be invaluable as ARG continues to evolve in the rapidly changing retail landscape.

Jenn Weisgram brings a distinguished background in grocery retail leadership having served in a variety of roles including Senior Director of Center Store Merchandising, Senior Director of Fresh Merchandising, Director of Operations, Human Resources Management, and her current role of Vice President of Merchandising Operations at Coborn’s, Inc.  Jenn also serves on the Board of Directors at the Great Plains Food Bank, and North Dakota Grocer’s Association.  Her deep understanding of the many facets of the retail business will be crucial in guiding ARG and ensuring sustainable growth.
